It is that time of year where the turtle are waking up from their long winter naps. Last year we had two out in the yard. We also have had two little babies one 2 years old and one 1 years old in doors all winter. We are trying to get the two little ones to wake up so we can transition them outside to learn to live, but they are just toooooooooo tired.
This guy is probably 4 or 5 years old and cruises everywhere. Tonight we found him eating the dog food on the back porch. But to his dismay the food was too big to eat so he moved onto greener pastures. Bugs, worms and flowers.
As you can see those two little ones just look like beaches turtles. The larger of the two moved a little, but he has been burrowed down in his winter home for so long he had a hard time getting his legs moving.

Oh goodness! I love turtles too! Ours never hybernated (red-eared sliders). They were enjoying their new habitat too much.
