You know your eyes are bad...

I haven't painted my fingernails in a long time. I saw a gal a couple of days ago and loved the color of her nail polish. Opi - cajun shrimp. So I went and bought a bottle. I just love the color. I very carefully painted my nails and was admiring them and the color. Then it came time for us to read scriptures and I put on my glasses. I quickly glanced at my nails and just about had a heart attack right then and there. There was nail polish all around the edges and under my nails. I wanted to fall to my knees and weep and say why me. Not really but I was faced with a tough decision. Do I leave this awful mess on, take off the glasses and pretend that they are as beautiful as I thought they were before the glasses came on. Or do I take the polish off completely. I choose the latter to safe me moments of deep regret and knashing of teeth. The thought came to my mind it looked like a 2 year old had painted my nails.
So the big question is how many other things have looked good in my life, but I didn't put the glasses on to see the mess that had been made.

Too funny! Just keep your glasses off. Life's too short to worry about the things you don't see. It's also much happier if you don't sweat the small stuff! (Maybe you should have a professional paint your nails next time and then you won't need your glasses at all!)
